Business segment can contribute to the appreciation of Amazonian artists
Manaus (AM) – Teatro Amazonas hosted this Sunday (18) the show O Rugido, starring the instrumentalist and music teacher Mateus Ribeiro. The project had the production of Casa de Artes Trilhares, in addition to the support of local entrepreneurs, who highlight the importance of supporting Amazonian cultural projects.
The creator and manager of Casarão de Ideias, João Fernandes, explains that this is already a practice at the cultural center. “We always seek to support new initiatives with the objective of broadening the perspective of the local cultural scene”, he said.
Fernandes declares that, through support and sponsorship of projects such as O Rugido, the business segment can contribute to the appreciation and emergence of new culture makers in the State.
Another entrepreneur who also bet on Mateus Ribeiro was Eurico Tavares, who works at the head of Eu Empreendedor, an initiative that offers support for entrepreneurs to put business ideas into practice. “The word undertake has always been music to my ears. From an early age, I was already in the fight, creating businesses, learning and growing every day”, he says.
Tavares points out that two things cannot be missing to touch life: courage and work. “This rule applies to everything, from the simplest to the most complex, like playing the guitar, for example. That’s why I support and congratulate Mateus for undertaking and inspiring with music and talents”, he says.

The Rugido was created by the musician Mateus Ribeiro. According to the artist, the show was named after the sound emitted by the lion because it represents its cry of freedom. “O Rugido was a unique presentation, one hundred percent authorial, from composition to freedom of improvisation”, he explains.
Mateus points out that the main objective of O Rugido was to show the public that instrumental music has its place and that it can be part of people’s daily lives, who will be able to hum its melodies.
The presentation brought influences from rock and roll, MPB and soul music and makes the audience emotional. “Instrumental music allows this freedom to mix rhythms”, highlighted the star of the show.
The project was contemplated in the most recent notice of the Secretariat of Culture and Creative Economy for the use of one of the greatest cultural assets of the state, the Teatro Amazonas.
The Rugido was sponsored by Eurico Tavares from Eu Empreendedor, Centro da Indústria do Estado do Amazonas, TechSound, Maricota’s Craft, Caxiri, Groove, Flex Importação e Exportação Indústria e Comércio de Máquinas e Motores LTDA, Cal-Comp Indústria e Comércio de Eletrônicos e Informática LTDA, MKS Consultoria, Nortebag Embalagens Rubberon Indústria e Comércio de Importação e Exportação S/A, Centro Cultural Casarão de Ideias, and Casa Som Amazônia.
