Parintins (AM) – Arts, music and cultural manifestations. When it comes to Parintins, popular culture is present, in front of the barn of artists that the city concentrates. To give representation to the local artistic segment, the State Government, through the Secretariat of Culture and Creative Economy, promotes the second edition of the Culture Station, which this year gains a new address: Praça da Catedral Nossa Senhora do Carmo, Centro de Parintins (369 kilometers from Manaus).

The space dedicated to the arts, music and creative economy will be fully operational from June 26th to July 2nd, from 9 am to 5 pm, as an alternative attraction, open to the public, during the beef season. The project, which last year occupied the Tupy Cantanhede stadium, also features concerts by Amazonian bands Tucumanus and Alaídenegão, on the “Cultura Em Movimento” stage.

The space brings a script of activities during the day, investing in entrepreneurship and local talents in music, visual arts, dance, literature, folklore and other segments”, highlights the secretary.

In the wake of Parintinian art, the initiative also reveals talents from the Lyceum of Arts and Crafts Claudio Santoro in the municipality. “The idea is to show some of this work that is carried out by the State Government, through the Liceu, which is training in arts and education activities”, said Andressa Oliveira, who works as director of the local Liceu.

“This year, we will have the participation, for the first time, of artists from Nhamundá and Barreirinha. The Secretariat (Culture) carries out this work of training and capacity building and these municipalities are part of the Baixo Amazonas project”, reinforces the director and responsible for the programming of the Culture Station.
