Court dismisses case against the administration of Edinho Duarte, at Ypiranga Clube – News of Brazil

The judge of the 2nd Civil and Public Finance Court of Macapá, Nilton Bianquini Filho, dismissed the case against the management of the then state deputy Edinho Duarte, at Ypiranga Clube, in 2007.
The case, opened through a complaint from the Public Ministry of Amapá, also involved the then governor Waldez Góes, today minister of state, and the then state secretary of works, Alcir Matos.
According to the complaint, the management body of Ypiranga, led by Edinho Duarte, had not fully accounted for the transfer of government resources for the renovation and expansion of the Clube da Torre headquarters.
The magistrate Nilton Bianquini Filho, in the decision taken on Tuesday this week, it states that there was nothing that correlated the then accused with acts of administrative improbity in the application of the agreement between the government of Amapá and the team from the Trem neighborhood.
“The Public Prosecutor’s Office was unable to demonstrate, in the slightest, the extent of the damage it intends to repair – which is imperative for the reimbursement of the public treasury, notably when it contributed to the construction of the assets of a private entity, in accordance with article 1, paragraph 7, of Law 8,429/92”reports Bianquini.
Edinho Duarte, Speaking about the court decision, he said the following: “I was always unequivocally certain that the Amapá Court would bring to light the truth of the facts in this case. It is important to point out, at this point, that early convictions are not part of the democratic process and only harm an entire community in every way, be it political or sporting. And I can now say, with great serenity, that, at the head of Ypiranga Clube, we were, just as Tjap has always been with society: fair and committed to our club at heart”.
