The Ethics Council of the COB (Olympic Committee of Brazil) increased the suspension of the opposite Wallace, from Sada Cruzeiro, from 90 days to five years. The decision was taken on Tuesday (2).
In the opinion of the Council, Wallace, the CBV (Brazilian Volleyball Confederation) and Sada Cruzeiro, the athlete’s team, did not comply with the decision because he entered the court last Sunday (30), in the final of the Men’s Volleyball Super League.
The entity linked to the COB also determined that the CBV be disconnected from the Committee’s system for six months, preventing it from receiving financial transfers, including from lotteries. It also decided to send an official letter to the federal government and Banco do Brasil, which sponsors the selection of the modality, so that “every patrimonial or non-patrimonial relationship that private entities have with CBV and which presupposes the participation of the entity in the system Olímpico, whose bond ceases to exist on this date.”
The Council determined the suspension for one year of Radamés Latari, president of the CBV, and sent a letter to the IOC (International Olympic Committee), informing the decision.
