‘Costurando Sonhos’ project is implemented in the North Zone of Manaus

Cutting and sewing and basic computer courses started on the 2nd, at Aeva headquarters

Manaus (AM) – With the aim of offering professional training courses for women who are socially vulnerable in the North Zone of Manaus, state deputy Delegado Péricles (PL) allocated resources for the implementation of the “Costurando Sonhos” project, developed by the Voz Ativa Educational Association (Aeva) . The deputy directed funds, arising from a parliamentary amendment, in the amount of R$ 100 thousand for the acquisition of domestic, semi-industrial and industrial sewing machines, in addition to complete computers.

The cutting and sewing and basic IT courses started on the 2nd, at Aeva’s headquarters, located in the Novo Aleixo neighborhood, North of Manaus. The training, which will continue until June this year, should include around 60 women who will have the chance to qualify professionally, generating their income to overcome their vulnerable conditions.

“I am pleased to contribute to projects like these that effectively contribute to the realization of the dreams of women who, through these courses, will have the chance to have a professional qualification, generating their income”,

said the parliamentarian, highlighting the importance of supporting projects like those developed by Aeva in that area of ​​the city.

Recognition

Professor Girleno Barbosa, one of Aeva’s coordinators, said that the association emerged eight years ago with projects that always aimed to promote education in public schools in the city, pointing out that the implementation of the “Costurando Sonhos” project has always been a dream of the Aeva to help vulnerable families. On this occasion, Barbosa thanked the deputy for his sensitivity in contributing to the implementation of the project.

“It was a distant dream, but we needed to help the families and at great cost we managed to do so. Today we have the support of Deputy Delegate Péricles, who is someone who has always helped us with our sports projects, because he saw that we did serious work. Thank you very much”,

Retired Maria Marta Amorim da Silva, 68, one of the project’s students, spoke of her satisfaction in participating in “Costurando Sonhos”. “I’m taking the course to gain more knowledge to improve my income and help with household expenses. I just have to thank the deputy, because politicians are often frowned upon for just wanting to be elected, but thank God Deputy Delegado Péricles is demonstrating the opposite and giving us this opportunity, opening more doors. May God bless your life and your projects,” she declared.
