The Amapaense Football Federation (FAF) published a clarification note, this Friday (10), about the holding of the game between Trem and Vasco for the first phase of the Copa do Brasil in Amapá. According to the entity, the Stadium is the responsibility of the State Secretariat for Sport and Leisure (Sedel) and it is only a partner in articulating and holding annual competitions that involve the local football calendar.
Still according to the communiqué, the FAF has been actively participating in the necessary procedures for the release of the Stadium for the game. In addition, it emphasizes the opportunity to receive a game of great magnitude and the delay in the Security report.
“As a partner of Sedel and articulator with the CBF, the FAF accompanied the entire process of issuing the Zerão release reports for the match until the deadline for sending this documentation, which expired this Thursday (9).
“The FAF understands that holding the game on Amapá soil was an opportunity to strengthen local football, but it also understands that the priority to be defended is the safety of the fans, supported by the pending reports that were not issued in a timely manner.”
The State Secretary for Sports and Leisure (Sedel), Rudney Cunha, explains that, this Friday (10th), the Military Police visited the Stadium’s premises and carried out the expertise, but has not yet issued the final report. In addition, the folder holder claims that there is no culprit for the situation.
“Today Zerão received the PM team to carry out the security inspection and the report will be sent to us. Since 2019, we had a notification from the CBF and the Public Ministry for a reform to take place and we kept asking Seinf and it has not happened until today. It is very easy to point out the culprit, but we are all to blame, as we have to take care of something that is public and everyone’s business. We are being massacred, but the secretariat does not carry out the reform, it promotes sport and we have already spoken with Seinf, I spoke with Senator Davi and he made R$10 million available for the reform. Secretary David Covre will design the project and by the end of the year we will start the works, ”he said.
The president of Trem Desportivo Clube, Socorro Marinho, expressed deep regret for not being able to have the game in Macapá and asks that everything can be resolved. According to her, the expectation is that the match will take place in Brasília or Manaus.
“I say that it is with great sadness that the PM’s report, the security one, has not been released until now, and the deadline was until Thursday (09), making it impossible for the game to take place here. We ask the public authorities to fix the Stadium, because the D Series is at the door and the clubs need to play in Macapá. I am very sad, but we are going to decide whether we are going to play in Brasília or Manaus”, ended the president.
