RPE Parintins returns to Manaus, this Saturday (3), to face Nacional in the fourth round of Barezão

Manaus (AM) – RPE Parintins is the leader of group B and has the best campaign in the 2024 Amazonense Championship. With two wins and a draw in three of Barezão’s games, ‘Tourão’ is the sensation of the State. On the eve of completing two months in charge of the team, coach Maurinho Fonseca assessed his team’s current situation, stating that this positive start is the result of the team’s good pre-season. Parintins began its work on December 5th of last year.

“We are one week away from completing two months of work and I can say that the balance is very positive. The entire pre-season schedule we made, in terms of workload and dates for friendly games, was well studied. I believe that we managed to be assertive in a large part of this programming, of our project. We are reaping the rewards of a good pre-season, we managed to play three games and be competitive in all three matches”,

scores the coach.

The coach, in addition to praising the results, states that the team’s regularity in games makes him very happy and confident for the next clashes at Barezão.

“Regardless of the result itself, we were competitive and maintained regularity. Now the championship is starting to become more competitive and the teams will arrive looking to qualify for the next phase, meaning we will have good games in the knockout stage. But I am very happy with my squad, in which I see players who are well-disposed, prepared and with a strong mentality to achieve greater things within the competition”, he adds.

RPE Parintins returns to Manaus, this Saturday (3), to face Nacional in the fourth round of Barezão. The game will take place at the Ismael Benigno stadium, Colina, from 3:30 pm.

Unity

The pre-season was also good for creating bonds of friendship, companionship and trust between the athletes. Of the nearly 30 players, only three are remnants of last year’s team. In fact, Luiz Bahia, Matheus Iton and Serginho Duarte have been on the team since 2022, when the team gained access to the main series of Amazonian football.

At 25 years old, defender Luiz Bahia, who is from the city of Santo Antônio de Jesus, considered the capital of Recôncavo Baiano, states that the Parintins squad is united in pursuit of the goals set by the board.

“We know that a team is not just made up of 11 players, but rather a cast. We have a group of 28 athletes and everyone is fully qualified and has the confidence of our coach to play. Between us there will always be healthy competitiveness, but above all there is respect. Since I arrived here I have never seen an off-field fight, in the accommodation everyone jokes, reviews and those outside pass positive energy to those inside because we know that if we reach our final goal, it will be good for everyone”,

highlights Luiz Bahia.
