Three new managers of the Government of Amapá were sworn in this Friday, the 24th: the delegate José Neto, as holder of the Secretary of State for Justice and Public Security (Sejusp); the delegate Cezar Vieira, at the General Police Station; and the attorney Thiago Albuquerque, at the State Attorney General’s Office (PGE). The ceremony took place at the Sebrae auditorium in Macapá, with the presence of the governor, Clecio Luis, and the Lieutenant Governor, Teles Junior.

The choices, explains the head of the state executive, took into account technical criteria and the professional background of the new managers, all with more than 10 years of experience in public security in Amapa and, in the case of Thiago Albuquerque, in legal advice to the state.

“They are experienced professionals who will work to strengthen public security policies in Amapá. They assume the missions of maintaining the level of investments that were already working and of improving what needs to be done. We want everyone to be part of this mission.”pointed out the governor.

Following the government plan, managers have the role of maintaining the level of investments and strengthening the public security policy, promoting prevention, peace and justice. Another strategic objective is the equipping and integration of bodies and services, with the enhancement and qualification of servers.

“Public security has the largest volume of fundraising in the State. I have no doubt that the choice of the governor was right: they are career professionals who know the reality of Amapá and who have the technical capacity to command these institutions”highlighted vice-president Teles Júnior.

In addition to the feeling of security, the State intends to concretely promote the confrontation of all types of crime and, above all, violence.

“Public security is a sensitive issue, especially in poorer countries like Brazil. About 10 years ago we saw an increase in complexity with the consolidation of criminal organizations. It is a reality that we must continue to face in order to combat what humiliates and demoralizes us, which is violence.”added Clécio Luís.

Also participating in the inauguration were the commander of the Military Police (PM), Colonel Adilton Corrêa; commander of the Military Fire Brigade (CBM), Alexandre Veríssimo; other state managers; the general public defender, José Rodrigues Neto; state deputies; President of the Brazilian Bar Association (OAB) – Amapá Section, Auriney Brito; and other authorities.
