The governor Clecio Luis announced this Tuesday morning, 5, at Igarapé da Fortaleza, new investments for improvements in urban mobility in Santana. The ceremony was attended by, in addition to the state manager, the mayor of the municipality, Bala Rocha; of the holder of Setrap, Valdinei Amanajás; and community leaders.

“There are 24 million reais from the state government in partnership with the Municipality of Santana. We will clean up the city, clear channels, pave, cover holes, maintain branch lines. Finally, a series of urban and rural works to show this partnership between the government and Santana, Amapá and its municipalities”informed the governor Clecio.

Works were announced that include 13 kilometers of paving, earthworks, asphalt resurfacing and road signs with high-tech traffic lights, in addition to urban cleaning services and solid waste disposal. The action launches ‘Pelo Amapá’, a program that intensifies infrastructure works throughout the state, through partnerships and agreements with city halls.

“Indeed, an important moment. I have always defended the union between the government and the municipality of Santana. The City Hall is also paving the city in other streets and avenues. Santana needs it badly; I’ve been saying this all the time: it’s time for union. Whatever the government wants to do to improve the families of Santana has my support”declared the mayor Bala Rock.

Works to improve urban mobility will begin in the Igarapé neighborhood of Fortaleza. The resources used are from the state government with the counterpart of the Municipality of Santana.

“We are starting today. Everyone is ready, everything is set up: the teams, the machines, and we’re going to start with earthmoving, preparing the streets for paving. It is a work that we will develop during the summer, so that in these three months we can conclude this great partnership”he said Valdinei Amanajas.

The Pelo Amapá project has the support of the Association of Municipalities of Amapá, Ameap, which is the entity focused on finding alternatives that promote better quality of life for Amapá residents, through socioeconomic development.
