Manaus (AM) – Continuing the work to strengthen the Primary Health Care Network, the Manaus City Hall delivered, this Monday (12), the Family Health Unit (USF) N-22, fully revitalized. The unit is located at Rua 20 de Novembro, number 40, in the Monte das Oliveiras neighborhood, in the north of the capital, and is a reference for 4,200 people who live in the region.

The undersecretary of Administrative Management and Planning at Semsa, Nagib Salem, explained that the modernization work at the small health unit is the result of a Public Private Partnership (PPP) and the place was not only revitalized, but completely renovated. “Internal and external structural works were carried out, painting, roof replacement, maintenance, gardening and replacement of equipment and all furniture”.

With the operation of the N-22, 36 small units have already been delivered and the forecast is that by the end of this year, 68 of the same standard will have been revitalized. These units, of size IB, have 132 square meters of built area and have a Family Health Strategy (ESF) team made up of a doctor, nurse, dentist, oral health assistant, nursing technicians and community health agents.

According to the undersecretary, in addition to the improvements carried out on the N-22, the Monte das Oliveiras neighborhood, which has a population of approximately 55,000 people, will also receive a large unit, with an area of ​​1,200 square meters. built, which is already under construction.

Nagib highlighted that the City Hall’s interventions have been aimed at strengthening assistance in places with greater demand and less coverage in primary care. “We mapped the gaps in care and the regions with the least supply of services and we are meeting these needs, as programmed by Mayor David Almeida. We made a plan for more than 100 works and we are fulfilling it”.

The municipal health infrastructure qualification program includes renovations, expansions and constructions to expand and qualify the coverage of the primary care network in the capital.

The manager of the North Health District (Disa Norte), Paola Oliveira, informed that the services offered by the N-22 include medical, nursing and dental consultations, collection of preventive exams for cervical cancer, collection of material for laboratory tests , application of vaccines from the basic calendar, measurement of blood pressure and capillary blood glucose, removal of stitches, application of dressings, dispensing of medication, among other health promotion and disease prevention procedures.

Paola highlighted that the revitalization ensures more comfort and safety for both users and servers, with more humanization. “The N-22 is extremely important in this location, even more so now that some nearby units are being renovated. This unit is much sought after by the community, mainly because it is a complete unit”, concluded the manager.
