2024 edition will bring many innovations and promise to maintain the level achieved in previous years

The mayor of Manaus, David Almeida, surprised the public during the inauguration of the Lúcia Almeida viewpoint, on Thursday night (4), by announcing the band Titãs as the first national attraction of “#Sou Manaus 2024”, the biggest festival of integrated arts in the North of Brazil and the official launch of the event, scheduled for the next few days.

“#Sou Manaus” is the festival that brings together all cultural and artistic segments, in three days of programming that serves the most diverse audiences, including gospel, which has been part of the program since the 2022 edition.

The director-president of the Municipal Foundation for Culture, Tourism and Events (Manauscult), Reginei Rodrigues, guarantees that the 2024 edition will bring many innovations and promises to maintain the level achieved in previous years.

“’#Sou Manaus 2024′ will feature nine spaces and many other artistic interventions spread across the historic center of Manaus. Our commitment is to move the Center forward, surpass the number of jobs created in past editions, boost the gastronomic aspect, promote culture and local culture makers and promote attractions that place the festival on the route of the country’s main events”, he states. Rodrigues.

Tourism

The vice-president of Manauscult, Oreni Braga, treats the event as a “tool” to boost and promote Manaus and directly encourage the tourist flow in the capital of the Amazon, explaining that “#Sou Manaus” enables international visibility and injection into tourism.

“’#Sou Manaus’ is an event that is gaining regional, national and international repercussion, especially with the publicity work that the City of Manaus, through Manauscult, has been carrying out at national fairs and in international media. For tourism, this represents an increase in flow, inclusion of the Amazon capital in the itineraries of major events, and most importantly: the economic and social impact, as it involves a significant number of workers, around 10 thousand people who benefit directly circulating money across all social strata”, highlights Braga.

The event

“#Sou Manaus” is held annually. In 2024, it will take place on the 5th, 6th and 7th of September, in the historic center of Manaus, with a gastronomy fair, integrated arts, exhibitions, crafts, local, national and international attractions, in an action carried out by Manauscult, in partnership with other municipal departments and foundations.
