The exhibition will show 11 short films with different themes for free
Manaus (AM) – Cineteatro Guarany will hold a session on Saturday (16), at 6:30 pm, to honor the works of director Jimmy Christian. The program features 11 films with durations ranging from 3 to 22 minutes. The activity is open to the public, with an indicative rating for people over 12 years old.
Engaged in the Amazonas cinematographic scene, Jimmy Christian has a filmography of more than 20 films, working as a director for more than 17 years. Among his works, he includes several short and feature films in the documentary, fiction, drama genre, among others.
“It is very gratifying for us filmmakers to have this window that the Department of Culture opens for us. Of the films in the session, some are new and I will be showing my most recent production, ‘Desentupidor’, which was very successful at the Olhar do Norte Exhibition and people started asking for more screenings of it”,
said the filmmaker, who highlights that the space at the Cineclube will be a great opportunity for people to get to know his work better.
“Cinema is my great passion. I am passionate about culture and have worked, for years and years, to bring it to people through my works, so that I can make a difference in their lives. That’s why this democratization initiative is so important,”
The Cineclube de Arte is an initiative of the Government of Amazonas, through the Secretariat of Culture and Creative Economy, with the aim of facilitating access to culture through cinema.
