Chamber Committee schedules hearing with Tacla Duran for Monday (19)

The Labor and Administration Commission of the Chamber of Deputies scheduled for Monday (19), at 2:30 pm, the hearing to hear the lawyer Rodrigo Tacla Duran. The minister of the Federal Supreme Court (STF) Dias Toffoli granted a safe conduct to authorize Tacla Duran, who lives in Spain, to participate in the session.

The lawyer must clarify the complaints he made about alleged extortion during the investigations of Operation Lava Jato. According to the decision, Tacla Duran is authorized to enter Brazil and proceed to the Chamber on the day he will be heard. The Federal Police must guarantee the free transit of the lawyer to Brasilia.

This Thursday (15), Toffoli annulled all evidence of criminal actions against Tacla Duran that were being processed in the 13th Federal Court of Curitiba, responsible for the processes of Operation Lava Jato. The minister argued that the actions against the lawyer used evidence from the Odebrecht leniency agreement that had already been considered “useless” by the Court.
