The Industry, Commerce and Services Committee of the Chamber of Deputies will debate on Tuesday, the 16th, the challenges for the use of bioinputs in the agroindustry. The suggestion for the debate is from the deputy Josenildo (PDT-AP). He wants to raise awareness among legislators about the importance of creating a favorable regulatory environment that encourages research, development and commercialization of bioinputs in Brazil.

“Not only do they help reduce dependence on synthetic chemicals, they also promote biodiversity, improve soil and plant health, and can contribute to reduced production costs.”highlighted Josenildo.

He regrets, however, that the adoption and development of these inputs face significant challenges, such as the need for more research, development of technologies, specific regulations and expansion of knowledge and acceptance by rural producers.

“The public hearing aims to bring together experts, researchers, representatives of the agro-industrial sector and government authorities to discuss the current state and potential of bio-inputs in the Brazilian agro-industry. The objective is to identify the main challenges and opportunities and define strategies for promoting and adequately regulating the sector, ensuring its sustainable and competitive development”explains the deputy.

The Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock, the Brazilian Agricultural Research Corporation, the Brazilian Agriculture and Livestock Confederation, the Brazilian Association of Bioinput Industries and the National Confederation of Agricultural Workers are invited to the debate.
