The Public Security Committee of the Chamber approved, this Tuesday (9), two more calls for the Minister of Justice, Flávio Dino, to provide clarifications to the deputies. In one of the sessions, the minister will explain how the land invasions promoted by the Landless Rural Workers Movement (MST) interfere with urban and rural security. This request was presented by Deputy Lieutenant Colonel Zucco (Republicanos-RS).

The other summons foresees that Dino clarify a statement made by him in March attributing to Hunters, Shooters and Collectors (CACs) alleged sale of weapons to criminal factions. The request was authored by Deputy Paulo Bilynskyj (PL-SP).

This Tuesday, the minister spoke to parliamentarians for five hours at the Senate Public Safety Commission. Dino even commented that there are 55 requests for him to go to Congress to provide clarification, informed the Estadão. “I think this is persecution, even. But I come, ”she stated. If deputies and senators approve all the requirements, the minister would need to appear in Congress more than once a week.
