The CEO of Coritiba, Carlos Amodeogave more details about the reformulation of Couto Pereira and the construction of the club’s new CT this Monday (19), in an interview with the channel Sports Valueon Youtube.

According to the director, the future renovation project for the Alviverde stadium will not have a reduction in capacity. According to him, the idea has not yet been defined, but it will bring more modernity to the sports venue, increasing the club’s revenue.

“In defining the project that will be executed, we will not make a reduction in Couto Pereira’s capacity that will impact the presence of the Coritiba public at the stadium. This is the peace of mind I want to give our fans”, he stated during the interview.

Contractually, SAF will invest R$500 million exclusively for the modernization of Couto Pereira – the values are adjusted annually according to the National Construction Cost Index (INCC). Treecorp Investimento, which holds 90% of SAF Coxa-Branca, has seven years to start the works, which need to be completed within ten years.

“Up front, when we remodel Couto Pereira, we will have a more modern stadium. After all, Couto is already 91 years old, it is older. It has been maintained, but it is not a modern stadium, which brings parking comfort , elevators, more elite areas. We intend to create a balance of popular areas and greater comfort. And we believe that, based on this, we will have more fan attraction and significantly increase revenue”, he detailed.

According to Amodeo, the renovation of Couto is a long-term project for Treecorp. Before that, the priority is the new CT, which according to him, is close to being built.

“We are going to invest around R$ 100 million reais, which should start soon. We are in the process of obtaining licenses and reviewing the project, which will have everything we consider to be the most modern”, he said.

SAF wants to invest in fan relations

With relegation to Series B in 2023, Coritiba’s SAF expected a drop in revenue from fan members. To avoid the loss of this revenue, according to Amodeo, the club invested in improving the experience of club members.

“With access to Series B, we have already had an exit of members. So, we are changing the relationship with our commercial partners so that members understand that even at this moment it is important to continue with the club. And this meant that this year we did not have a drop as we expected in membership revenue”, stated the CEO.

Management is also investing in Couto Pereira’s box policy, focusing on the fans’ experience.

“When we arrive [no clube] it was right after the pandemic. With the public returning to the games, management needed urgent revenue from box sales, fan membership and tickets. And this caused pricing to be out of line with market practice. We are currently changing our entire cabin policy. We are bringing a different concept of experience to these cabins, which already shows an increase in revenue”, explained the director.
