CBV postpones Superliga semifinals while deciding whether or not Wallace can play

The entity is studying whether or not to allow the casting of the opposite Wallace by Sada. The player was suspended for 90 days by the Ethics Committee of the Brazilian Olympic Committee (COB), but managed to obtain a warrant from the Superior Court of Sports Justice (STJD) to be able to play.
If it complies with a decision, CBV will automatically be in breach of the other, running the risk of suffering the consequences. The confederation then decided to throw the answer to an arbitration company.
“Since Wednesday (12), the CBV has been faced with two conflicting decisions, taken by two independent bodies. Thus, it decided to submit the matter to the Brazilian Center for Mediation and Arbitration (CBMA), an arbitration body with competence to do so, as per provided for in the statutes of the COB and the CBV”, said the confederation in a note.
The CBV also said it regretted the situation: “The CBV regrets the damage to all those involved in the event – clubs, players, fans, sponsors and the broadcaster that holds the transmission rights.”
