Federal deputy Carla Zambelli (PL-SP) stepped away from parliamentary activities due to “health issues”. The announcement was made on Thursday night (7) by the parliamentarian’s team on social media. No details were released about Zambelli’s health status.

“Federal deputy Carla Zambelli’s team informs that the parliamentarian is temporarily away from her activities for health reasons. We appreciate the respect for the deputy’s privacy at this time”, says the statement. In August last year, she was admitted to the DF Star Hospital, in Brasília, to treat acute diverticulitis.

On the 29th, the Federal Police indicted the deputy and hacker Walter Delgatti Neto in the investigation launched to investigate the invasion of the National Justice Council (CNJ) system. The two were the targets of search and seizure warrants in August 2023. Delgatti was preventively arrested at the time.

According to the PF, “documents seized from the deputy correspond, in whole or in part, to the files inserted by the hacker into the CNJ system, which for investigators proves that she participated in the attack.” Zambellie and Delgatti may face charges of hacking a computer device and misrepresentation.

The PF investigation found that “eleven permits for the release of individuals arrested for various reasons and a false arrest warrant to the detriment of Federal Supreme Court Minister Alexandre de Moraes” were inserted into the CNJ system. The deputy denies any involvement in the case and said that the only relationship she had with Delgatti was to hire technology services for her personal website.
