Manaus (AM) – Federal deputy Captain Alberto Neto (PL) announced on social media this Tuesday (19) that he received the support of former president Jair Bolsonaro to contest the municipal elections this year. Thus, Alberto Neto is a pre-candidate for Mayor of Manaus for the Liberal Party.
In his speech, Bolsonaro wished the Captain good luck and highlighted that Alberto Neto is a new option in the Amazonian capital, as he is considered “new blood”.
“Our more than candidate, pre-candidate with a capital letter to run for Mayor of Manaus. So I wish you good luck and I tell you all Manauaras, it is a great option for a person who really brings new blood to the politics of this municipality”
said Bolsonaro.
In gratitude, the PL pre-candidate stated that he will represent not only his party, but also the former president of Brazil.
“It is an honor to be representing the Liberal Party, representing President Bolsonaro in the city of Manaus and I am sure that together we will do a great job”
highlighted the Captain.
The pre-candidacy also received the support of the state president of the PL, Alfredo Nascimento, and the national president of the PL, Valdemar da Costa Neto.
