Classic and current tunes by Bois Caprichoso and Garantido in an engaging show to further instigate the curiosity of the public from various corners of Brazil, for the Parintins Folklore Festival. This was the proposal for the bumbás show, on Thursday (7), on the diversity stage at the Ulysses Guimarães Convention Center, at the 4th National Culture Conference, in Brasília.

Among the various artistic manifestations, representing the culture of the Brazilian states, such as maracatu, carimbó, capoeira, rap and hip-hop, the cultural richness of Amazonas was highlighted by the bois-bumbás. The events manager of the Secretariat of Culture and Creative Economy, Denis Carvalho, one of those responsible for directing the attraction, said that the starting point was the union between the oxen, then letting the rivalry between them flow, so that the public Choose your favorite ox.

“So we had the moment of the two together, the oxen performing to the sound of ‘O Amor está no Ar’, then, the ox Garantido with his iconic count and the ox Caprichoso with all the involvement he has inside the arena” , explained Denis, who shared the direction of the show, with the official tune raiser of Caprichoso, Patrick Araújo, the presenter of Garantido, Israel Paulain and the music producer, Pelado Junior.

The public participated and interacted, showing identity with Amazonian popular culture. “I swore I was in Parintins, or Manaus. I was in Brasília, it was a very important show. Bring the presentation of Bois de Parintins, our festival, to this conference. Representing our culture is an honor, I am very proud to represent what I love most, which is our Parintins festival”, said Marciele Albuquerque, the sister-in-law of Caprichoso. In addition to the presence of the cunhã and the toadas raiser, Touro Negro, came to life with tripa Alexandre Azevedo.

To ensure the public’s immersion in the festival, the show began with the traditional countdown, sung by Garantido presenter, Israel Paulain. “All Brazilian states were represented with their cultural delegations and they cheered, they sang our tunes as if they were inside the Bumbódromo. We deserve this recognition from Brazil and this is happening in an overwhelming way, the result of the perseverance and resistance of all of us”, Israel was moved. Boi da Baixa also took the standard bearer, Lívia Christina and tripa Batista Silva.
