Can Coritiba still fall in the next round? See accounts
[ad_1]
After the victory 3-0 that sealed the fall of América-MGO Coritiba gained points in the race against relegation. The situation remains practically irreversible, but with the victory, Alviverde renews its spirit for the final five rounds of the Brasileirão.
In the next round, Coxa will face Cruzeiro and send the game to Vila Capanema. If you win the match, you still have breathing room for at least one more round. If they are defeated by Cruzeiro, who are also fighting against relegation, they may not fall to Vila, but for that to happen, it depends on the result of two games in the 33rd round, which take place this Thursday (9).
- Goiás x Santos, at 7pm
- Bahia x Cuiabá, at 8pm
If Bahia beats Cuiabá and Santos scores (regardless of a draw or victory) against Goiás, Coritiba cannot be defeated by Cruzeiro on Saturday or will be relegated. In any other scenario in these two games on Thursday, Coritiba may not fall on Saturday, but early relegation will still depend on the other results of the round, in games that take place on Sunday (12).

It is worth remembering that Cruzeiro and Vasco will only compete in the 33rd round on November 22nd, and therefore, Coritiba extended its stay in the elite of Brazilian football. Still, according to the mathematics department at the Federal University of Minas Gerais, the chances of relegation for the Alto da Glória team are 99.99%.

Understand Coritiba’s accounts
If Bahia wins and Santos scores in this round, Coritiba, which has 26 points, will be at least 13 points behind the first team outside the relegation zone.
On Saturday, if they lose to Cruzeiro, the first team outside ZR could reach at least 39 points, 13 more than Alviverde. Thus, the team would not be able to score in the remaining four rounds and relegation would be declared.
