After presenting the quarterly inflation report, this Thursday (28), the president of the Central Bank, Roberto Campos Neto, avoided commenting on the meeting with the President of the Republic, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT). He met for the first time, on Wednesday night (27), with the PT president, at Palácio do Planalto, but left without giving explanations at the end of the meeting.

“At the meeting, there were only me, President Lula and Minister Haddad. I am trying to build a relationship of trust, what we agreed is that I would not comment anything about the meeting. Minister Haddad made some comments and I completely agree with his comments”, said Campos Neto.

After yesterday’s meeting, Haddad was the only one who briefly commented on the meeting between Campos Neto and Lula.
