The Board of Directors of Caixa Econômica Federal will approve this Tuesday (23) the name of seven new vice-presidents of the bank, who will consider nominations from political parties. The division was negotiated between the government of Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) and the president of the Chamber, Arthur Lira (PP-AL).

The coordination for the Caixa subdivision was part of an agreement between the President of the Republic and the center with the aim of improving the relationship between the Executive and Congress.

It was up to the President of the Chamber to nominate the head of the bank, Carlos Vieira, and define the division of vice-presidencies. According to members of Palácio do Planalto, the seven vice-presidencies that will be confirmed this Tuesday will meet the nominations of PP, PL, Republicans and PDT.

In total, Caixa has 12 vice-presidencies, seven of which will be changed. It is also expected that a new one will be created, the Vice-Presidency of Sustainability.

According to government organizers, three vice-presidencies will be included in the PP quota: Pedro Emírio de Almeida Freitas Filho in the vice-presidency of Operator Agent; Marcelo Campos Prata in the vice-presidency of Logistics, Operations and Security; and Tarso Duarte de Tassis as vice-presidency of Wholesale.

Laércio Roberto Lemos de Souza will occupy the vice-presidency of Technology and Digital in the quota of both the PP and the Republicans.

PL is credited with appointing Paulo Rodrigo de Lemos Lopes as vice-presidency of Retail Business. According to government officials, the name of Francisco Egídio Pelúcio Martins, in the vice-presidency of People, was recommended by the PDT.

The vice-presidency of the Retail Network, in turn, will be held by Adriano Assis Matias, and is considered a personal appointment by the president of Caixa.

Contrary to what he would like, the center should not hold, at least for now, two positions that were considered strategic: the vice-presidency of Government, occupied by Marcelo Bomfim, a law professor sponsored by the president of the Senate, Rodrigo Pacheco (PSD- MG); and the vice-presidency of Social Housing, which coordinates Minha Casa, Minha Vida payments, is held by Inês Magalhães.

Lira decided to share the vice-presidencies as a means of contemplating her political group in the Chamber, which has around 200 deputies.

The negotiations for him to be appointed head of the bank were carried out in the middle of last year, when Lula negotiated his first ministerial reform.

In September last year, Lula fired former athlete Ana Moser from the Ministry of Sports to make way for the then leader of the PP in the Chamber, deputy André Fufuca (MA). Representative Silvio Costa Filho (Republicanos-PE) joined the Ministry of Ports and Airports.

Minister Márcio França (PSB), who lost his post to the Republican nominee, took over the Ministry of Entrepreneurship, Microenterprise and Small Business.
