Benefits above R$1,412 begin to be paid on February 1st
The value of benefits and aid from the National Social Security Institute (INSS), for the month of January, can now be checked from this Tuesday (23) through the agency’s service channels. The statements already include adjustments relating to the increase in the minimum wage and the correction of the National Consumer Price Index (INPC).
As announced by the institute, through a note, credits for those who receive up to a minimum wage begin to be deposited on January 25th and end on February 7th. There are almost 26 million beneficiaries who will have their payment adjusted by 6.97%.
Those who receive more than R$1,412, the national minimum value, will be paid on February 1st. These beneficiaries total just over 13 million people, which will increase by 3.71%.
In the case of policyholders who receive above the minimum and who started receiving the benefit in 2023, the values will be adjusted proportionally to the month of grant, and may vary from 0.55%, for those who started receiving in December, up to the total percentage of 3.71%, for those who became beneficiaries in January 2023.
Check the applicable adjustment table in the Ministry of Social Security ordinance.
It is possible to check the statement and find out the payment date either through the Meu INSS website or application, or through Central 135. By telephone, service is available from Monday to Saturday, from 7am to 10pm.
