Caixa Econômica Federal announced this Wednesday (21) that it will open a public competition offering 4,000 vacancies across the country. Earlier, the bank’s president, Carlos Vieira, met with president Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) to present the notice, which will be released this Thursday (22).

Of the total vacancies, 2,000 will be for new banking technicians (TBN), a recurring career at the institution, and another 2,000 vacancies for TBNs in the Information Technology area, all at secondary level. “This is part of Caixa’s modernization strategy, at the same time that we stimulate, within government policies, employment and income in the country,” said Vieira. The starting salary is R$3,762.

There are also 50 higher education vacancies, 28 for occupational physicians and 22 for occupational safety engineers, with starting salaries of R$11,186 and R$14,915, respectively. In a note, Caixa informed that it will allocate 6% of the total vacancies to people with disabilities.

“We have a strategy aimed at stimulating the construction and opening of Caixa units in areas that are poorly assisted from a banking point of view”, highlighted Vieira. According to the bank, the tests will be administered by Fundação Cesgranrio in the first half of this year. Those approved will be called from August 2024. The competition will be valid for one year, extendable for the same period.
