The 34 Brazilians awaiting authorization from Egypt and Israel to leave the Gaza Strip are part of a larger group, with 554 foreigners from 14 countries, according to G1. This Friday (10), the Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that they would leave the region, but the Rafah border was closed again to prioritize ambulances.
The group is made up of 265 citizens from Canada, 101 from Romania, 82 from Russia, 26 from Poland, 14 from the United States, 14 from Albania, 12 from New Zealand, 10 from China, 8 from Germany, 7 from India, 6 from Indonesia, 5 from Denmark, 2 from the Netherlands and 2 from Malaysia.
This Friday (10), the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mauro Vieira, said that he works not only for the liberation of Brazilians, but also of other foreigners. The diplomatic talks take place amid criticism from PT and left-wing parliamentarians of Israel, which mobilized its Army to combat Hamas for terrorist acts on October 7.
