Brazilian Lauro Chaman secured, this Monday (7), the bronze medal in the Omnium modality, class C5 (for athletes using conventional bicycles), at the Paralympic Road and Track Cycling World Championship, which is being held in Glasgow (Scotland).

In the Omnium dispute, which brings together four tests and whose overall result is the accumulated score in them, Chaman added a total of 128 points. The first place was the Ukrainian Yehor Dementyev, with 138 points, while the Austrian Franz-Josef Lasser finished second with 130 points.

This is the Brazilian’s second medal in the competition held in Glasgow (Scotland), after another bronze, but in the Scratch competition last Thursday (3).

The World Cup is the event that most distributes points for the Paralympic ranking of nations, used to define places for the next edition of the Paralympic Games, which will be held in Paris, in 2024.
