Men’s volleyball team takes on Poland at midnight this Friday (7)

The Brazilian men’s volleyball team was left on the court against the Netherlands in the early hours of Thursday (6) to apply 3 sets to 0 (25/21, 25/15 and 25/20) and reach the seventh victory in 10 games played in the League of Nations. The convincing victory in Passay City (Philippines) signals that the team commanded by coach Renan Dal Zotto has left behind the setback suffered last Tuesday (4th) against Italy. Currently in third place in the general classification, Brazil will play again at 00h (Brasília time) this Friday (7th) against Poland (6th). The Brazilian team is looking for the second championship in the competition – the first title was won in 2021.

The best Brazilian scorers were central Lucão, who scored 10 points – six of them blocking and the rest in the attack – and pointer Honorato, who also hit 10 balls. Lucarelli and Alan also shone with nine points each. On the Dutch side, the highlights were Ter Maat (10 points) and Nimir (8).
