The TSE (Superior Electoral Court) must judge, in this Thursday’s session (4), starting at 10 am, a process that could result in the revocation of the mandate of senator Jorge Seif (PL-SC). The electoral court will analyze alleged abuse of economic power by Bolsonarista in the 2022 elections.
The case also involves the Bolsonarista’s deputies, businessmen Luciano Hang and Almir Maniel Atanázio.
In the process, the TSE will consider an appeal against the decision of the TRE-SC (Regional Electoral Court of Santa Catarina) that rejected the action against the former Secretary of Fisheries of Jair Bolsonaro (PL) and his deputies.
Aije (Judicial Electoral Investigation Action) was proposed in January against Seif by the coalition formed by the PSD, União Brasil and Patriota, whose candidate for the Senate in 2022 was former governor Raimundo Colombo (PSD).
Among other things, the opposing coalition maintained that Seif used Havan’s physical and personnel structure for the campaign, such as air transport, a live recording room and videos for social networks.
