The Homeless Workers Movement (MTST) stated this Wednesday (3) that the posting of the image of the crucified Jesus Christ, accompanied by the inscription “a good criminal is a dead criminal, was “inappropriate”.
The post, which was deleted by the movement, generated a revolt on social media and caused parliamentarians to take legal action against the movement for “religious intolerance”, such as federal deputy Paulo Bilynskyj (PL-SP) and state deputy Danilo Balas (PL-SP). ).
The announcement of the removal of the content by MTST was made after the national coordination meeting and informed, through a note, published on the X network.
“The coordination considers that the post was inappropriate and therefore it was deleted from its networks. We reaffirm respect for Christian religions and commitment to freedom of religious expression”, explained the movement.
The MTST also repudiated “the Bolsonarian leaders who tried to make political use of the situation”.
