The most likely electoral prospect for former first lady Michelle Bolsonaro, according to allies, is to run for the Senate in the Federal District in 2026.
There is, however, a scenario in which this could change, says a former minister of Jair Bolsonaro: if the former president is arrested until the election.
In this hypothesis, Michelle will immediately become the natural right-wing candidate for President, adopting as her speech the defense of her husband’s legacy and innocence.
The former first lady is considered a potential vote-getter, and has been exciting PL leaders after participating in events such as the one held on Avenida Paulista on February 25th. It would be the ideal name to carry conservative flags forward.
