Bolsonaro should go to supermarket event – 05/17/2023 – Panel

Former president Jair Bolsonaro (PL) and his son Eduardo are expected this Thursday (18) at the Apas Show, the country’s biggest event in the supermarket sector, which takes place in São Paulo. Members of Bolsonaro’s security were this Wednesday (17) at Expo Center Norte, the venue of the meeting, to discuss details of his presence.

With the gesture, Bolsonaro seeks to make a contrast with the absence of figures of expression from the federal government. President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT), unlike predecessors such as Michel Temer (MDB) and Bolsonaro himself, will not attend the fair, organized by the Associação Paulista de Supermercados.

The vice-president, Geraldo Alckmin (PSB), was invited to the opening, which took place last Monday (15), but was not present. According to his advisory, he was called at the last minute by Lula to a meeting in Brasília to discuss economic agendas.

In the first three days, the fair received more than 60 authorities, among them the governor of São Paulo Tarcísio de Freitas (Republicans), and mayors such as the capital, Ricardo Nunes (MDB), Guarulhos, Guti (PSD), the from Osasco, Rogério Lins (Podemos), and from São Bernardo do Campo, Orlando Morando (PSDB).
