Former president Jair Bolsonaro (PL) confirmed that he will return to Brazil this Thursday (30) from his trip to the United States since the end of last year. The statement was given in an interview with the program Pânico, on Rádio Jovem Pan, earlier this Monday afternoon (27), in which he said that the flight will land at Brasília International Airport at 7:15 am.

According to him, the ticket has been purchased since last week, and the plan did not change due to the discovery of the kidnapping scheme of Senator Sérgio Moro (União Brasil-PR).

“Last week, before this problem that appeared with the plan to kidnap the senator, I had already bought the ticket for Wednesday (29), the night, with a forecast to land at 7:15 am on Thursday (30) in Brasilia. For now, everything is fine, ”he said.

Bolsonaro had already mentioned the possibility of returning to Brazil in an interview last Thursday (23), in which he said he was “pre-booked”. “At the moment, I am without a mandate, but I am not retired. I will meet with the party and we will see what our strategy is. Not for the party, but for the country, how can we best present ourselves to Brazil”, he added in the interview with Jovem Pan.

He also said that he has no “ambition” for power, but that his legacy has captivated interest in politics, especially among younger people. Bolsonaro also stated that the country is “entering a hole that can be difficult to get out of. It gets to the point of a Venezuela of life, you don’t leave anymore”.
