Manaus (AM) – Bill No. 151/2023, which recognizes the Metaverse as a teaching method, authored by the vice-president of the Education Commission of the Legislative Assembly of the State of Amazonas (Aleam), state deputy João Luiz (Republicanos-AM) was approved this Wednesday (6), during a vote in the Ruy Araújo plenary of the Amazonian Legislative Branch.
“The key part of this project is to establish actions to expand access to technology across five axes: inclusion, education, training, specialization and digital research in Amazonas. The metaverse is considered a reality of the future, when it is believed that virtual spaces, augmented reality and physical spaces will mix, through the internet and things”
The parliamentarian states that this is a technology that should be greatly explored in the coming years and Amazonas needs to take the lead with innovative education.
“This proposal comes to further improve our education, in other words, it is another knowledge tool for our students”,
explained the Republican.
The PL goes to Governor Wilson Lima for sanction.
