Manaus (AM) – The second round of the 6 Weeks Challenge, promoted by Formula Academia and CrossFit Ponta Negra, will take place this Saturday (14), at Quintas de São José do Rio Negro, starting at 7am. It’s the beach tennis tournament, one of the physical activities that has been most sought after in recent years, as it helps burn calories, strengthen muscles and improve points of the physical structure, such as motor coordination and flexibility, all well in tune with the proposal of the challenge. .
“In one class, you can burn up to 600 calories. As it is practiced on the sand, it demands greater intensity and also contributes to improving the cardiorespiratory system”,
highlights the coordinator of Formula Academia, José Roggero.
The previous week, opening the challenge, participants faced Insanos Day, with classes in Indoor Cycling (cycling in an enclosed environment), Running (running on a treadmill) and Cross Training (functional training), as well as Aeroboxing classes (aerobics with boxing) and Jump (trampoline exercise).
The challenge lasts six weeks. During this period, participants perform various group activities, competing with different teams. The objective is to achieve individual goals, such as losing weight and gaining body mass, all with the support of physical education professionals and nutritionists.
The challenge schedule includes two other main events that will still take place: “Murphy Day” (crossfit exercises), on October 22nd; and “Running Day” (group runs), on November 5th. Daily activities carried out according to individual goals are also part of the schedule.
Project participants are entitled to two bioimpedance tests (a procedure that measures body composition) and nutritional monitoring, all to indicate the best strategies to achieve the desired results. The teams that achieve the best results at the end of the competition win a series of prizes.
This is the sixth year of the challenge and Formula Academia, in partnership with Emporium Rodrigues, will use food to replace the amount of fat lost by participants until the end of the competition. According to José Roggero, in this way, in addition to having better health, participants will be able to be motivated by solidarity and support for people.
