Beach Tennis Championship
The Beach Tennis championship, which would take place this Saturday (14), at Quintas de São José do Rio Negro, as part of the 6 Weeks Challenge schedule, was moved to October 28th. The organization’s decision is based on guidance from experts, who do not recommend practicing physical activity outdoors at the moment, due to the air quality in Manaus.
Promoted by Formula Academia and CrossFit Ponta Negra, with the support of the Quintas de São José do Rio Negro real estate development, the 6 Weeks Challenge aims to encourage the adoption of healthy habits.
“Our purpose is to promote health and well-being, and the safety of participants, organizing staff and volunteers is of utmost importance. Unfortunately, air quality currently does not provide a safe environment for sports. We regret not being able to hold the championship on the scheduled date, but this is the best decision for everyone. And on October 28th, everyone will be able to have fun”,
highlights the coordinator of Formula Academia, physical education professional José Roggero.
The challenge lasts six weeks. During this period, participants perform various group activities, competing with different teams. The intention is to achieve individual goals, such as losing weight and gaining body mass, all with the support of physical education professionals and nutritionists.
The challenge schedule includes two other main events that will still take place: “Murphy Day” (crossfit exercises), on October 22nd; and “Running Day” (group runs), on November 5th. Daily activities carried out according to each person’s individual goals are also part of the schedule.
