Athletico seeks to reverse score by classification for the ninth time; remember

2013: Athletico 3×1 Palmeiras – Round of 16
In the year in which it reached the final for the first time, Hurricane had to reverse a 1-0 defeat by Palmeiras, in Pacaembu. For the round of 16, defender Vilson scored the goal that gave Verdão the advantage. However, in Vila Capanema, Athletico had two goals from Éderson and one from Paulo Baier to advance without fear. Vagner Mancini’s team finished runner-up in the tournament.
2019: Athletico 2 (5)x(4) 2 Grêmio – Semifinal
The 2019 semifinal duels were tense. Hurricane was behind at Arena do Grêmio by 2-0 – goals from André and Jean Pyerre. The return match would have to be perfect for the team to be able to seek the classification – and it was. Perhaps it was the most important game in that campaign for the unprecedented title of the Copa da Brasil.

Moments later, the Alagoan team still expanded, but the goal was annulled for offside. The then coach Paulo Turra moved the team still in the initial stage. But the turn came with Alex Santana, in two goals in the second half.
On penalties, Bento appeared to defend goalkeeper Diogo Silva’s charge – who hit twice equally. Anselmo Ramon kicked it out and decreed the Atleticana classification by 4 to 2.
