Athletico didn’t concentrate with Osorio, reveals Fernandinho

The steering wheel Fernandinho revealed that the cast of Athletico was not doing the traditional concentration before home games since the arrival of coach Juan Carlos Osório – the coach was fired this Sunday (3).

In an excerpt from the interview with Denilson Show Podcastthe red-and-black idol stated that he was the one who negotiated with the Colombian commander.

“He asked what the situation is like in Brazil. I said that here everyone wants to concentrate and there is a mystique that, if they leave the player at home, they will do something. If there is no one to change this culture, we will never change and we will remain always the same thing”, said Fernandinho in the interview that will air this Monday (4).

From then on, the 38-year-old player negotiated and took responsibility for any problems that arose.

“I gathered the players and said: ‘Here’s the thing: there will be no concentration. If someone steps on the ball, they’re out’. No talking. I think it’s the kind of thing where you have to be direct. We’ve already played 11 games in Paranaense and zero problems”, completed Fernandinho.

Athletico faces Londrina in the quarter-finals of the 2024 Paranaense Championship. After the 1-0 defeat at Café, the decisive game will take place next Sunday (10), at 6:30 pm, at the Ligga Arena, in Curitiba. Furacão is now looking for a coach for the remainder of the season.
