Ateliê 23 launches the show “Da Silva” this week, with two free sessions in Itacoatiara, Manacapuru, Recife, Caruaru, Belo Horizonte and Ouro Preto. The road debut takes place this Wednesday (28), in Itacoatiara, 4pm and 7pm, at Associação Cultural Desenvolvimento Humano e Cultural Mãos Solidárias. Then, on Thursday (29), it is Manacapuru’s turn to host the presentations, at the same time, at the Nossa Senhora de Nazaré State School.

The Amazon company’s programming also includes an urban dance workshop with Lore Cavalcanti and chats with the cast. The project is one of those included in the Funarte Circulation and Diffusion of Dance Award – 2022.

According to director Eric Lima, this is the first time that Ateliê 23 has had a season premiere in circulation. The presentation in Manaus is scheduled for the end of the circuit, in April.

“’Da Silva’ was a dance show and its watchword was overcoming. From this, we mixed the proposal with the idea of ​​popular culture and used our family stories as a metaphor, to talk about Brazilian families”, explained director Eric Lima.

According to the director, the work covers three languages, dance, theater and music in individual numbers.

“On stage, we are four performers and we have almost become a representation of society today, bringing our experience to the scene from the perspective of diversity and within this framework of racism, homophobia, transphobia, misogyny and machismo”, highlighted the artist.

Itinerary

In March, on the 5th and 6th, there is “Da Silva” in Recife, at Espaço Cânicas. The performance in Caruaru, in the interior of Pernambuco, at Teatro Prazeres Barbosa, is confirmed for the 8th.

The itinerary continues to Belo Horizonte, with sessions on the 10th and 11th, and ends in Ouro Preto, on the 13th and 14th of March.

Team

In addition to directing, Eric Lima designed the choreography and costumes for “Da Silva”. The artist also makes up the cast along with Andira Angeli, Guilherme Bonates, Lore Cavalcanti and Taciano Soares.

The direction assistance is provided by Fernanda Seixas and Taciano Soares and the choreographic assistance is provided by Lore Cavalcanti. The compositions are by Andira Angeli, Eric Lima, Enos Lopes, Guilherme Bonates, Lore Cavalcanti and Thais Vasconcelos.

Lighting is by Titto Silva, scenotechnics and sewing by Andira Angeli and Lore Cavalcanti and executive production by Camila Andrade. The scenario is designed by Taciano Soares, also production coordinator.
