This Saturday, the 30th, the senator Randolfe Rodrigues, with the presence of the governor Clécio Luís, of the secretary of culture, Clicia Di Micelli, from the president of the Mara Baixo Foundation, Josilana Santos and the party-goers of the Maraçá Cycle, made a symbolic transfer of R$300,000 to carry out the festivities. The value is now available for the sheds.

The resource will cover the capital’s six marasobre shacks: Dica Congó, Gertrudes Saturnino, Tia Biló, Pavão, Jesus Maria José Cultural Center and Maramaior da Campina Grande.

“We have an obligation to work to enhance and continue our history. Mara Baixo is the genuine expression of our identity”, spoke the senator.

The manifestation is held in praise of the Holy Trinity and the Divine Holy Spirit. The program involves mara bass circles, gingerbread, litanies, traditional broths and festive sunrises.

“The senator has been a great partner of Mara Baixo and a fighter in the defense of Mara Baixo”said the president of the Mara Baixo Foundation, Josilana Santos, who dedicated the nickname of godfather of the Maraçá Cycle to the parliamentarian.
