The “I Alan Nuguette Fight Night Social” will have 600 fights and admission is a kilo of non-perishable food

Manaus (AM) – The largest solidarity fight event in the North, the “I Alan Nuguette Fight Night Social”, will be held next Saturday (26th), starting at 8am, at the Arena Amadeu Teixeira, located at Avenida Constantino Nery, s/n, Flores neighborhood, Center-South Zone of Manaus. Admission will be one kilogram of non-perishable food.

The initiative is by the lightweight MMA athlete, Alan Patrick Nuguette, through his Institute “Amigos do Alan Nuguette” which has affiliated gyms in 17 municipalities in Amazonas with more than 2 thousand athletes, including high-performance beginners, who embraced the cause. The institute is also present in the states of Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo and the Federal District.

“We are going to do here in Amazonas what the world already knows and respects – a pole of champions. In this event, we are not charging children for registration, as many parents do not even have enough to eat at home, let alone paying 100 reais (average registration price for a championship). We are going to do this one, to increasingly draw attention to new social projects, which do what they can to take the kids out of marginality and give them a new life of transformation through sport”,

said Alan Nuguette.

With 600 matches between athletes from projects supported by the Institute, aged from 4 years old to the most experienced and professional athletes. More than 2,000 entries were made and the event will have surprises.

“We’re going to have a surprise, one of the most anticipated fights, mine will be at 10 am and we’ll have big guests for the event. We will have a totally different event with lots of prizes and raffles for athletes and audience”, said Alan.

Nuguette was born into a very poor and dysfunctional family due to her parents’ alcoholism. Very early on, the skinny boy learned to be a shoe shiner and received the nickname that accompanied him throughout his life – Nuguette, but with his life marked by violence he ended up living on the streets. The sport rescued him to make him a great champion on and off the mat. In the UFC, Alan Nuguette was the first and only athlete who performed a somersault during the weigh-in, a trademark he inherited in Capoeira and took this typical Brazilian fight to the octagon.

“Every time I visit the gyms I tell my story. Everyone has a sad story to tell, but what you do to transform your reality is the big turning point. It is for this and for our children that I will not stop”,

explains the athlete who defends Amazonas in fights and who currently resides in Orlando, Florida.
