In the first year of the Lula Government, Amapá stands out with two parliamentarians taking on important roles in the leadership of the National Congress. Senator Randolfe Rodrigues (no party) acts as government leader in Congress, working to coordinate the government on relevant matters.

In turn, federal deputy Dorinaldo Malafaia (PDT) is one of the vice-leaders. Last year, he chaired the Mixed Committee that redesigned and expanded the Mais Médicos program, in addition to holding the vice-presidency of the Mixed Committee for the new Bolsa Família.

Last Thursday, the 29th, a meeting of leaders with the Minister of Institutional Relations, Alexandre Padilha, assessed the performance of legislative work in 2023 and outlined the challenges for the current year.

Among the positive highlights, it is worth mentioning that the group of three leaders (Congress, Senate and Chamber) achieved the highest average approval of matters since redemocratization. All National Congress Bills (PLNs) sent by the government were approved, totaling 100%, with 95% of them approved in full.

Furthermore, the current government boasts the highest historical average of appreciation and approval of vetoes sent to the National Congress.
