Aneel (National Electric Energy Agency) approved this Tuesday (4th) tariff revisions for Energisa’s distributors in Mato Grosso and Mato Grosso do Sul and CPFL’s in São Paulo.

The new tariffs, which come into effect as of April 8, are the result of a review process that takes place every four or five years, when the regulatory agency carries out a complete analysis of costs, investments and efficiency of operations in order to preserve the economic and financial balance of the concession.

For Energisa Mato Grosso do Sul, Aneel approved an average tariff readjustment of 9.28%, with an impact of 6.28% for high voltage consumers and 10.48% for low voltage consumers. Specifically for the residential class, the readjustment will be 9.58%.

At Energisa Mato Grosso, the average readjustment will be 8.81%, with an impact of 7.29% for high voltage and 9.45% for low voltage. In the residential class, the effect will be 8.62%.

For CPFL Paulista, which serves cities in the interior of the state such as Campinas and Ribeirão Preto, an average readjustment of 4.89% was approved, with an impact of 5.44% for high voltage and 4.60% for low voltage.

Among the justifications for the increase in tariffs are increases in the so-called “parcel A”, which refers to costs that are not manageable by distributors –cost with the purchase of energy from generators and charges and taxes, for example–, and withdrawal of financial items that were included in previous tariff processes.
