Ancelotti “denies” CBF and warns that priority is to stay at Real Madrid

Despite having been announced by the president of the CBF, Ednaldo Rodrigues, as the future coach of the Brazilian team, the Italian Carlo Ancelotti has no closed deal to leave Real Madrid.

According to the Spanish newspaper Marca, this Friday (14th), Ancelotti called the CBF to reinforce its commitment to the Spanish club and asked the entity to lower its tone in relation to a commitment to the selection.

Previously, Rodrigues stated that Ancelotti would arrive to lead Brazil in the 2024 Copa América and, until then, Fernando Diniz would accumulate the functions of coach of Fluminense and interim of the selection.

“It’s a coach [Diniz] that his game proposal is really similar to that of the coach he will take over from the Copa America onwards, Ancelotti. It has almost the same type of game proposal”, said Rodrigues, earlier this month.

Precisely because of this statement, Ancelotti would have reinforced to the CBF that he maintains active communication with Real Madrid about his future at the club, which, in addition, has as an “absolute priority” the attempt to continue in Spain.
