Americanas postpones the release of 2023 balance sheets – 01/26/2024 – Market

Americanas announced on Thursday night (25) that it will postpone until February 19 the publication of the financial statements for the first, second and third quarters of last year, according to a relevant fact to the market.

The announcement was previously scheduled to take place on the 31st of this month.

The company did not explain the reason for the postponement in the material fact.

Last year, Americanas postponed the release of the 2022 balance sheet and the review of the 2021 accounting data four times. The announcement was initially scheduled for the end of March, changed to May, was postponed to October and then to November 13 .

The disclosure only occurred on November 16, when the retailer announced a loss of R$12.9 million in 2022.

It was the first result released after the accounting scandal that broke out in January last year, which led Americanas to enter into judicial recovery, with declared debts of R$4.2 billion.
