Competition is worth a place in the 2024 Brazil Cup

The Renné Monteiro Gymnasium hosts the Amazonense Under-20 Championship competitions, this Saturday (4), starting at 8:30 am. With support from the Government of Amazonas, the competition, in addition to revealing new talents for the state, is worth a place in the 2024 Brazil Futsal Cup.

“We know the strength of Amazonian futsal and the potential of the teams to reach national competitions. We will be providing all support so that these athletes always remain at the highest level”, says Jorge Oliveira, Secretary of State for Sports and Leisure (Sedel).

The first game of the day will be between the teams Canaã Futsal B and Canaã Futsal; at 10:30 am, Grêmio Arsenal/Castanho faces Tuna Luso; and closing the disputes, the last clash will be between Abílio Nery and Sangue de Boi/Verona, starting at 11:30 am.

Organized by the Amazon Indoor Football Federation (Fafs), the competition started in October and continues until November 21st. In total, there are six teams competing for the state title.

The event that takes place at the Renné Monteiro Gymnasium has free entry.

Jiu Jitsu

At Arena Amadeu Teixeira, tomorrow and Sunday (04 and 05/11), the North Brazilian Sports Jiu-jitsu will take place, starting at 9am. The championship is held by the Amazon Sports Jiu-Jitsu Federation (FAJJE), in addition to athletes from Manaus, the competition also receives delegations from Pará, Roraima, Rio Branco, among other municipalities.

Motorbike

And to liven up the karting track at Vila Olímpica de Manaus, on Sunday (05/11), starting at 3pm, the 10th stage of the Amazonense Motorcycle Championship will take place, bringing together around 60 riders in search of the best positions on the podium. Organized by the Liga Amazonense de Motociclismo (LAM), the competition will be held in the Motovelocidade A and B, Supermoto (Beginner, intermediate and professional) categories.

University Athletic Games

The Manaus Olympic Village will also be the stage for the University Athletic Union Games (UAU), tomorrow and Sunday (04 and 05/11), starting at 7am. The competitions take place in futsal, handball and volleyball, the teams are made up of athletes from the Federal University of Amazonas (UFAM), State University of Amazonas (UEA), Fametro and Uninorte.
