Amapazão: FAF and Government align guidelines for this year’s championship – News of Brazil

The Amapaense Football Federation (FAF) was in a meeting with the governor of Amapá, Clecio Luis, to present the planning of the 2023 Amapaense Professional Football Championship. The meeting took place at the Palácio do Setentrião on Wednesday (19) and was attended by the presidents of the clubs participating in the dispute this year.
The Campeonato Amapaense is the main competition on the Federation’s calendar and every year it gains new initiatives to bring the public closer to local professional football. The partnership with the State Government, through Sedel, strengthens this plan.
“We know the importance of the championship for the fans from Amapa and that is why we are preparing ourselves with commitment so that the table flows and everything happens with the success it deserves. Counting on the support of Governor Clécio is one more arm in this work, so we are grateful for the opportunity”stressed the president of the FAF, Netto Goes.
During the meeting, the official match ball was presented, the Championship Ambassador – the sportswoman Luana Leticia da Costa and the trophy – baptized with the name Troféu Edson Arantes do Nascimento, “King Pele”. Clubs delivered their official shirts to the governor during the act.
“Football is a construction of many hands and we know the importance of establishing partnerships so that our main championship gets stronger every year. We are already partners with the government through Sedel and now, in this meeting with Governor Clécio, we reaffirm our commitment to the best Amapazão ever”he said Roberto Goes, vice president of CBF.

This year’s State Championship brings together eight professional clubs: Ypiranga, Oratório, Independente, EC Macapá, São Paulo/AP, Santos/AP, Santana and Trem, the current champion.
In all, there will be 28 games in 7 qualifying rounds. Trem and São Paulo open the dispute at Estádio Zerão on May 10th and the final is scheduled for July 19th.
