Dorinaldo Malafaia, who requested the Ministry of Health and helped organize the sending of doses to the state, is confident that people from Amapá will seek immunization

This Thursday, the 4th, the state received the first 12,376 doses of the vaccine, and over the weekend it will have ten thousand more.

The MS redistributed the vaccines from municipalities where demand was low and, as Amapá had already declared a health emergency, especially due to the dengue cases in Oiapoque and Tartarugalzinho, the state was awarded the doses.

“I’m sure Amapá won’t disappoint. People from Amapá trust vaccines and will seek to be immunized. In the private network, a vaccine like this costs around R$500;) in the SUS, it is free and Brazil is the first country in the world to offer immunization against dengue for free for its population. This is a huge achievement. We have to prevent dengue from spreading as seriously as it has in other states in Amapá”, declared Dorinaldo.

The initial target audience is children and teenagers aged ten to 14. All 16 municipalities will receive the vaccine.
