Amapá will have an optional point between next Monday (12) and until 2pm on Wednesday (14), due to the long Carnival holiday. The measure follows a decree signed by the governor – in office – Teles Junior, published in this Tuesday’s edition (6) in the Official State Gazette (DOE) and supports bodies and entities of direct and indirect public administration. Essential services will be maintained during this period, in accordance with the determination.

The working hours of state bodies on Ash Wednesday will be extended until 6 pm — as a form of compensation — since the optional session will be until 2 pm.

With the act in force, the provision of services will not suffer any harm. Bodies and entities in the areas of public security, transport, public health and social defense will establish service schedules, including public facilities managed by social organizations under a management contract.

Check the dates:

  • February 12th – Optional point
  • February 13th – Carnival (optional point)
  • February 14th – Ash Wednesday (optional until 2pm)
