Parliamentarians allied with former president Jair Bolsonaro (PL) question statements made by hacker Walter Delgatti Neto that he would have tried to defraud the electronic voting machines, and say that the objective is to “stain” Bolsonaro’s image.

Walter Delgatti Neto is under arrest in Araraquara, after an operation by the Federal Police at the beginning of the month for attempting to invade the National Council of Justice (CNJ) system, and this week he gave testimony in Brasília to the PF itself and to the CPMI of 8 January.

To the parliamentarians, Delgatti said that Bolsonaro would have granted him a pardon in exchange for an operation to defraud the electronic voting machines. He, however, did not provide evidence.

For Deputy Diego Garcia (Republicanos-PR), “they are trying to find at all costs some reason to arrest the former president and his family and remove him from all forms of the elections”.

According to the parliamentarian, another attack that tries to undermine the credibility of the former president is the authorization to break the banking secrecy of Bolsonaro and Michele, determined by Minister Alexandre de Moraes, of the Federal Supreme Court (STF), to investigate an alleged sale scheme. of jewelry given by the government of Saudi Arabia to the former president. “This is very clear in view of his influence, which continues to be great within this process”, completes Diego Garcia.

The leader of Novo in the Chamber of Deputies, Adriana Ventura (SP), says that despite the seriousness of the statements, it is necessary to remember that Delgatti Neto is a “contumacious criminal”, and the information given by him still needs to be confirmed.

About a possible testimony from Bolsonaro’s former assistant, Mauro Cid, arrested for defrauding the vaccine card, the deputy says that “it is important that things are clarified”.

Deputy Rodolfo Nogueira (PL-MS) said “talking even a parrot can talk. The inconsistencies in the testimonials speak for themselves. A citizen who changes his version of history at every moment does not deserve any credibility. What happened at the CPMI was an armed theater to try to incriminate President Bolsonaro”.

A member of the CPMI on January 8th, Rodrigo Valadares (União-SE), referred to the statement as a “card game”. “In a scenario of persecution and selectivity, Delgatti, to save himself from jail, adopts the strategy of incriminating Bolsonaro to please the establishment”, he pointed out.

Valadares adds that “this same absurd scenario of incriminating Bolsonaro at any cost is what keeps people connected to the former president in jail to force a slanderous denunciation to deliver his head to Lula as personal revenge”.

Deputy Augusto Coutinho (Republicanos-PE) also believes that the scenario that includes statements by hacker Walter Delgatti about an attempted fraud in the elections, supposedly at the behest of Bolsonaro, “is very serious, and will have consequences”.

Hacker did not answer questions from opposition lawmakers, says deputy

For deputy Alberto Fraga (PL-DF), deputy leader of the party in the Chamber, “if this guy had the right standing, he would have at least answered the questions of Bolsonaro’s allies, he was [na CPMI], implying that it was there with a single objective, which was to tarnish the image of former President Bolsonaro. What he said has not been proven, it’s his word against that of a former president.”

Fraga also explained that “when the president received this hacker and forwarded it to the Ministry of Defense, the only intention was to find out if there was something wrong with the electronic voting machines”.

Fraga concludes by stating, regarding a possible testimony by Mauro Cid, which is being considered by the defense of Bolsonaro’s former assistant: “Whoever shouldn’t fear, so let’s go ahead.”

After Delgatti Netto’s accusations, Jair Bolsonaro’s defense sent a note to CNN saying that “it will take appropriate legal measures” against the hacker. According to the ex-president’s lawyers, the hacker’s allegations are false.

Delgatti Neto is being heard again by the Federal Police in Brasília this Friday (18), two days after he appeared at the superintendence to explain the allegations that he was trying to rig the 2022 elections. spoke in his statement on Wednesday and statements to the CPMI.
